Your Partners in Personal Safety
We are in an organic environment through continuous study of self-defense, tactical and hybrid systems as well as developments in fields ranging from police science to conflict management, from identity protection to counter-terrorism. Distilling our experience in analytical yet down-to-earth ways for your benefit, we are part of the next step in the evolution of personal safety.
- We understand that whether you’re coming in for a day or for a year, you want to feel comfortable, develop hard-core life skills, and leave with a sense of accomplishment. As we strive to give you that experience, we do not ask you to address us by esoteric titles – only by our first names.
- We cultivate a cooperative rather than competitive environment that is non-hierarchical.
- We provide friendly, scientific, non-intimidating instruction in plain English, and have fun even while addressing the most serious subjects.
- We are inclusive and open to peer review. We acknowledge and incorporate good ideas no matter where they come from.
- We encourage students to question what they learn and give them the tools with which to do so. Our motto “Qua(e)re Verum” means “Seek the truth”.
- We believe that the attitude embodied in the Israeli CQB notion of “Always a student, sometimes a teacher” is one of the best assets an instructor can have.

The physical skills are very formidable, and the tremendous amount of non-physical learning that happens in there makes you think about how knowledge really is power." Isabel Alonso – Cambridge, MA
